I thought it was about time that I posted a 2009 Weddings in Review slide show. These are the images that stood out for me this year…

Love them! So glad we chose you for our 2010 wedding!
This hasn’t exactly been kept a secret but it also hasn’t been officially announced. The photoVanBeek studio is moving from its current location between Elgin St and the Canal to the Byward Market (1 York St at Sussex). The new studio will feature a large shooting space and will be surrounded by the Market, The Chateau Laurier, Major’s Hill Park, and the National Gallery of Canada. Our projected opening time is this coming April after renovations are complete. Stay tuned!

Hi Andrew,
Great news, best of luck!
Congrats! Looking forward to seeing what it looks like after the renos! Looks like you will ahve lots of space!
That’s awesome! Great location!
From the same trip as the last post, here is a view near Manang, Nepal. In this image you can see Manang way below, the Annapurna peaks at over 8000m above, the Gangapurna glacier and its lake, as well miscellaneous other interesting stuff. If you are ever in Manang, make sure that you take the time to do this little side trip. It brings you to about 4700m.

While traveling around Argentina, we would occasionally come upon something that struck us a funny. It was funny mainly because it was just stuff you would never see here and well, I just have a weird sense of humour. Enjoy!

As an english speaking person of Dutch decent, I was offended by this on behalf of my grand-mother (my Oma)

Strangely, this brand has not taken off here in Canada...

Should I be worried that I found this funny?

I wasn't sure what exactly they were selling...

I refuse to explain this one...

After thinking about it for a couple of years, my old web site is no more!
If you’re a regular viewer of my BLOG, you may have noticed a lot of changes going on over the last couple of weeks. This was done to absorb any unique information from my old site, into the new blog site. So literally, my BLOG ate my web site. All blog content is still intact.
Update your links accordingly!

Back in September I had the pleasure of working with singer/song writer Alex Black to put together a collection of images for her new EP (The Trials of My Acoustic). Below are the images as they are used on the CD.

Those pictures are amazing, vibrant and clear.
This part of the trip took us out of Mendoza into the heart of the Andes Mountains. At 6962m, Aconcagua is the highest mountain the Americas and the highest outside of Asia. In a rental car we crossed desert at 36C, the alien landscapes of Valle de Luna, and the beautiful city of Cordoba – a great place to celebrate the arrival of 2010.

Your shots of Aconcagua were looking so familiar. I took some from the Chilean side four years ago, very similar looking; narrow valley with little vegetation and Aconcagua towering in the background.
